About
About Offline Protocol
Offline Protocol builds mesh networking infrastructure for environments where connectivity is denied, destroyed, or never existed. We make the software and hardware that lets devices communicate, share knowledge, and run AI without relying on cell towers, internet service providers, or cloud servers.
Our mesh SDK powers peer-to-peer communication over Bluetooth, WiFi Direct, and the internet with automatic transport switching. It runs on phones, Raspberry Pi nodes, and ESP32 microcontrollers. Any developer can build on it. Any device that runs it can talk to any other device that runs it. That’s the protocol.
The IntelligenceMesh Relay is our first hardware product. It’s a $50 device that extends mesh network range for Offline Protocol apps and Bitchat simultaneously. We built it because the hardest problem in mesh networking isn’t the software. It’s density. Mesh networks need nodes, and nodes need to be everywhere. A $49 relay that works out of the box and earns incentives for its owner is how you get to density.
Offline Protocol, Inc. is a Delaware C-Corp backed by AllianceDAO, Portal Ventures, Galaxy Digital, and Seed Club Ventures.
What we’ve built
- @offline-protocol/mesh-sdk — Offline-first mesh networking SDK for React Native. BLE, WiFi Direct, and Internet with DORS transport switching. MLS end-to-end encryption. Published on npm.
- @offline-protocol/id-react-native — Decentralized identity SDK. Authentication without centralized accounts.
- IntelligenceMesh Relay — ESP32 hardware mesh node with dual-protocol support (Offline Protocol + Bitchat).
- Pi Knowledge Node — Raspberry Pi-based always-on mesh relay with e-ink display, local knowledge base, and AI inference.
